Understand successful apply credits, free analysis, Pro, external API costs, and separate purchase channels.

What Uses a Credit
A credit is used when RenameClick successfully applies a renaming or sorting result to one file, on the Rename screen or from AI Search results. Analysis, suggested names, and AI Search indexing and searching do not use apply credits. Auto Flow also lets you move or copy files with both Rename and Sort off, without using credits.

Separate applied stages in an Auto Flow chain are separate operations. Analysis being free of RenameClick credits does not make an external cloud API free.
Free and Pro
Free includes unlimited analysis and 100 apply credits per month. Pro removes the apply limit. The available features and providers still depend on the installation channel and required capabilities.
The direct plan offers monthly and lifetime options. See current pricing. Mac App Store prices and purchase terms are handled by Apple. Third-party provider fees are not included in any RenameClick plan.
Credit Renewal and Partial Apply
The free allowance renews monthly on the same day-of-month as initial use. If you select more files than your remaining allowance, only the available number can be applied; the app reports the rest. Wait for renewal or upgrade to continue applying.
Auto Flow rules that need credits pause when the allowance runs out and show No credits left. Plain Move or Copy with Rename and Sort off, and duplicate cleanup, need no credits. Processed results do not become applied changes merely because they are in the list.
Activate a Direct License
Direct macOS and Windows builds use a license linked to the purchase email address. A separate RenameClick sign-in account is not required.
- Enter your License key and choose Activate License.
- To retrieve a key, choose Find My License and use the email from your Polar purchase.
- Use Manage License to open the license portal.
Activation and recovery require internet. Local file analysis after model installation has a separate offline capability.
Devices
One email-linked license supports up to 3 active devices. Settings exports do not transfer an activation. Contact support if you need help freeing a device activation.
Mac App Store Purchases
The Mac App Store build uses Apple In-App Purchase and purchase restoration. An email-linked direct macOS/Windows license does not unlock that build, and an Apple purchase is separate from the direct license.
